Hello ladies, (present and future members)

Welcome to Hips ‘n’ Hustle’s 19th year in operation! I would like to take this opportunity to review our league philosophy and inform you of procedures for the league startup in the fall. I wish to extend a great thank you and appreciation to all those who have supported the league and welcome any new members.

Our league welcomes a wide range of skill, age and experience in basketball. Its fundamental purpose is to give women an opportunity to play basketball, improve fitness and enjoy the camaraderie any sport develops. Although it is a recreational league, it provides a level of competitiveness and fitness suitable to your needs. Games are scored, league standings are kept, official rules are used and carded referees officiate the games. We do our best to make up teams with equitable distribution of players of different abilities and ages. Players range from age 20 to 60! Over the years we have entertained the idea of changing the structure of the league and providing an A and B league. However, the majority of the ladies, when surveyed, prefer the current set up. Thus we will continue to have fun, get fit and make new friends…and best of all …play BASKETBALL!

Registration fee is $ 225.00

The closing date for registration is Sept. 1/11. You will be placed on a team if your registration form is submitted and fee paid by that date. Otherwise your name will be placed on a waiting list in priority sequence for the first available spot on a team. If you played last year and your registration and fee are submitted on time, you will be placed on team. You will be contacted by your team rep by Oct. 5/11 to notify you of your team and first game, time and location. If you are new to the league, you must also register before Sept. 1/11. Please read further for details of the first night.
